Gift Ideas for Dads Who are Hard to Buy for

Updated: Apr 12, 2021

It can be tough to find good gifts for Dad. Dads seem to have everything they want already. But you know they would love something different and terrific. Here are some ideas that we think think fit both those bills.

For his man cave, den or office wall, here is a vintage framed original artwork of a classic Ford from 1953. It illustrates the new model. It is a nice size, 31x17 inches, and would look great over the credenza. It is a beautiful piece and looks as if it may have been displayed in a dealership at some point. It is a handsome piece. If your dad is a vintage car fan, this would be different and terrific.

Does your dad have a vintage license plate from the year he was born? Probably not. And I bet he would really like that. It is unique. It is personal. It is affordable. And, it is totally “him.”

Say he was born in 1965. Where can you find a license from 1965? Easy — check our online store here. In the search bar, type the year you are looking for and see what comes up! There may be many types of license plates from the year you select.

While you are in the store, feel free to browse. Does Dad like to entertain in his home bar? If he loves the good old days, he might like to add vintage barware to his shelves. At some time in the past, Jim Beam created specialty bottles in the shapes of old model cars. These are empty, thank goodness, because these are vintage items and we wouldn't want you to get sick! They still look terrific in the rec room and are definitely a different type of gift.

Does your Dad surround himself with all things automotive? He may appreciate vintage automobilia for his desktop conversation pieces. A old auto magazine advertisement looks terrific when it is framed and displayed. Older hubcaps often have designs so different and terrific that they make interesting and unique wall hangings.

Is auto racing is your dad's passion, he may appreciate an original painting by famous NASCAR artist, Sam Best. This piece was created for a cover of a racing program in Texas. The race never took place but we have the original painting, framed and ready to find its place on an enthusiast's wall. This is most definitely a different and terrific gift!

Happy Father's Day!
