Mettle Resolve: Stand with Ukraine

Art is way of documenting moments in time in the artist’s life. Currently, I find my thoughts consumed with the plight in Ukraine. This piece represents the Ukraine flag with a symbol of resistance, the Ukrainian letter 'I". My art is created by distressing, altering and re-combining found metal and other objects in meaningful, expressive ways.  This is an extension of my exploration of texture and surfaces. The textural treatments demonstrate my desire to move beyond the flat canvas.
